Your name: Kathryn
Character's Name: Clayton Robert Gray
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty-One
Vampire Age NA
Category: Werewolf
Character History: Clay was from a broken home. His parents fought for as long as he could remember and finally split apart when he was seventeen. Soon after the divorce Clay dropped out of highschool and took off for Europe to be a musician, leaving his little sister Sophia, in the care of their mother. He traveled in England with a mediocre band for about a year, before he started to discover his Werewolf traits. Frightened he might hurt someone, he took to hiding in Sherwood Forest until about mid way through his third year away from home. The confused werewolf made his way to Scotland where he worked in a pub just long enough to earn the money he needed for a plane ticket back to the states. From Florida he worked his way across the country, earning enough from crappy jobs just to get by, and picking up bits and pieces about the vampire world. He then learned from an old Native American in Arizona about “Spirit Warriors” that roamed the tree’s of Washington. Clay knew he had to go back home to discover more about himself, even if that meant facing his worst demons including the broken heart of his little sister.
Character Appearance: Clay is tall and lean with good muscle mass, Athletic looking. He has Bright blue eyes, tan skin, and a shock of black hair that he tries to keep tidy, but usually lets go whichever way it pleases. He also has very nice lips, and eyebrows.
Strengths/Weaknesses: S: Ambitious, Caring, looks inward for faults
W: Afraid of commitment, Stubborn, and is often over protective of his sister
Personality: Clay is one of those people you never can quite figure out unless you really try to get to know him. He uses an attitude of indifference and drollery as a mask to hide his very deep thoughts and worries about the world he lives in and his roll within it. He’s disheartened by the fact that he is a werewolf and has no desire to be a vampire killer. In fact he would very much like to go back to thinking he knew everything. Not knowing who he is freaks him out like nothing else. He’s afraid to meet any girl, knowing he could hurt her in a split second of losing his temper, and thus has stayed single for nearly two years.
His hobbies include playing guitar and song writing. He also reads a lot lately (since he’s single) but stays away from any sci-fi Vampire/Werewolf stuff. Before he began phasing he used to play rugby and he really enjoys ultimate frisbee. Clay also loves movies. He’ll basically watch anything, but his favorite movies are the Star Wars films.
How is your character related to the story? He is Sophia Gray’s older brother. He just learned he was a Werewolf and is trying to figure out what his purpose in life is.
Sample of your RP-ing skills:
Clay took a deep breath as he crossed the Washington State line. He knew he still had a few hours of travel left before he would arrive in Forks, but he felt uneasy. The last time he crossed this line was when he was leaving home almost four years ago.
“All roads lead home” he said quietly to himself, staring out across the horizon. Before him were the answers to his questions. He was a God fearing man with the questions of every human now emphasized in big bold letters across his mind. Who was he? What was he doing here? Did he have a purpose in life? Or was he just a monster? Damned for eternity for some sin that seemed to escape him. Being a werewolf didn’t exactly register to him as “Heaven worthy material” but maybe he was mistaken. He didn’t feel evil. In fact, besides his growing appetite, extreme body heat, and a problem with his temper, he felt absolutely human.
With a sigh he kicked his motorcycle into gear and sped off into the sunset, focusing on riding rather than his salvation. Whatever fate awaited him he would face it head on, without any further hesitation on his part. He was ready to go home, and ready to meet his destiny.
