Your name: Kathryn
Character's Name: Gabrielle (Gabby) Gray
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Vampire Age N.A.
Category: Human
Character History: Gabrielle is from a little town in Scotland. She lost her parents when she was very little, and lived with her wealthy and over protective Grandmother. When she turned fifteen, her Grandmother became very ill and sent Gabrielle to live with her uncle in America where her older cousin Connor has been living. Her uncle is wealthy but prefers the quiet life; so lives in the lovely countryside of Washington, close to Forks. Up until this point she was home-schooled, and her only friends were the servants of the house. She’s lived a very old fashioned life, and is pretty clueless about the real world, besides the warnings her Grandmother gave her.
Character Appearance: Average height, and slender, with long blonde hair that flows past her shoulders , and sweet brown eyes. She has high cheekbones, and full lips. Her skin is very pale, and she wears very simple clothing.
Strengths/Weaknesses: W: Often shy, quick to lose her temper, rebellious /S: independent, trustworthy, talented
Personality: Gabby is pretty headstrong for a girl who has been sheltered most of her life. Once she gets an idea in her head it’s very difficult to convince her otherwise, and she often wins arguments.. Her hobbies include, writing, reading, playing piano, and singing. She also likes to sneak out of the house and go on long walks in the woods. She also is a ballet dancer and an excellent singer, but she is far from being a prima dona. She may come off as spoiled, but really she is a normal teenage girl just trying to figure out who she is and what she wants from life now that she is not in her Grandmother’s home.
She hates peanut butter, but has a weakness for Recees chocolates. Her favorite color is lavender, and she adores her cat Archimedes. She’s never ever had a boyfriend and she’s never been kissed, so she desperately hopes she will find “love” at high school...although she has no clue what to expect there, and is very frightened that the Americans will make fun of her accent. The music she listened to in Belgium was classic so now she is obsessed with anything loud, and crazy. She absolutely loves rock music and turns it up all the way whenever she can. She also was never allowed to wear make up before so she’s trying..and sometimes it gets scary. Gabby hopes to get her embellishing skills down before school starts again in the summer.
How is your character related to the story? She has moved from her small secluded life in Scotland to a small(slightly better) life in America. Her Aunt and Uncle are her new guardians, but they are pretty relaxed so methinks Gabby will have a lot of time to explore the town and discover it’s secrets...Not to mention her cousin is a Vampire so...that might give something away.
Sample of your RP-ing skills: If there was one thing she hated more than being inside all day, it was being inside all day because it was snowing outside. Her winter clothes hadn’t come in yet, and honestly she was losing patience. How long does it take UPS to get from Scotland to the US? Didn’t they have a system!? Heaving a sigh she sat up from her spot on the couch and set down the book she had been attempting to read on the coffee table. She stretched, pulling her legs out from under her and stood to find her cat.
“Archimedes? Here kitty!” she called walking through the quiet house. Her uncle was out ice fishing,( as if a fish was a sane reason to be out in the cold) and so she was alone for the day. She thought about playing music, but she didn’t feel like dancing. She thought about trying to find Connor’s phone number and talking to him for a while. Although she didn’t really know him that well, and he hadn’t bothered to visit.
“Kitty?” she looked under the beds and in the cupboards but still no sign of the critter. Giving up Gabby made her way back to the couch and turned on the television flipping through the various channels and feeling like an Alien from a different planet. She had no idea so much was going on in the world, and she had no idea what would be expected of her now that she was in it. Finally she settled on a cartoon about a sponge with an annoying laugh and let her mind go blank from there. At least for the moment she could forget her worries, forget her grief, and her loneliness...and just be nothing.
