It was late and Lily couldn't sleep, whatever she had tried doing to make her fall asleep had failed. She didn't know what, if anything, was bother her. She sat in her bed trying to think of what could be the cause of her not being able to fall asleep. Lily looked at the clock it was 2:45 am which for her she should have been sleeping just like everyone else in the castle.
Lily Rose got out of her bed putting on her sleepers. She looked at her pajama pants and her matching top; she placed her hair up in a pony tail and wandered down to the common room. No one was there, obviously. She didn't feel like staying there. What difference would it make? Leaving her wand behind in her dorm Lily cautiously made her way out of the common room into the deserted halls of the night.
She had wandered around the school, up and down, she had been down to the basement and back up past her common room she still hadn't been tired. Lily stopped in her place wondering why she couldn't get herself to sleep, her eyelids were heavy yet she remained awake. She let out a loud sigh and decided to make her way up to the astronomy tower.
Walking up the steps and finally reaching her destination, Lily Rose walked over to the window and looked outside amazed by the beauty of the landscape. The stars were shinning bright along with the moon that lit up everything underneath. The lake had a beautiful moonlight glow to it; you could see the reflection of the full moon beating down onto the peaceful lake. Lily had then realized something. It was a full moon. Her father. She shook the thought out of her head not wanting to bring it up on a night like tonight; Lily didn't want something else bothering her adding onto whatever was causing her to be sleep deprived. She closed her eyes tightly trying to get rid of the thought of her father. Lily opened her eyes and glanced back out the window, she looked at her arm, which was bare. Wishing that she had a watch at the moment, Lily figured that it was somewhere in the time rage of 3:20 am to 3:30 am. Basing her assumption on how long she had actually been wandering the school, alone, unheard, and unseen.
Lily Rose looked out the window and became memorized; she became lost in her thoughts, until of course she felt a hand on her shoulder. Lily let out a gasp abruptly turning around to face the person who had touched her. She was breathing heavily, and her heart was pounding in her chest. She placed her hand on her chest trying to calm down. Lily looked at the person. "Um, Hi." She said, as her breathing slowed down.
