((OOC: So, I know FanFic's aren't about original characters... But this has been swarming through my head lately.
Ever had a character that just kind of did their own thing? That's my Charity, lol. Turns out: Randall, her 'creator', was a much bigger part of the story than I initially gave him credit for. Turns out - they were actually in love. Much like Ed/Bella, just in a different time and without much of the honesty.
So, Randall convinced her to leave her family and go off to Nashville and she agrees. This probably worked because she only wanted to be with him, but there was just something about this charming man that her dad didn't approve of.
Off they go to the train station, and he can't take it anymore. This was in the time where you were escorted on walks, and so Randall was used to the constant supervision when he was with her. But now, with no one watching, his first opportunity to make her his forever arises and he takes it.
And she's terrified, right? Someone whom she loved is suddenly too-fierce, pulling her miles away from the station. She's re-thinking everything, leaving her family, running away without a proper goodbye... But something in her tells her it will be okay, because it's Randall...
So, he bites her... And the transformation takes hold... And he gets scared. Scared that he didn't do it right and may have killed her... Scared more that she WILL get through the pain and hate him for what he's done to her... And never experiencing a fear like this; it's too much, and so he runs.
And Charity wakes up to a stranger, her bestie Garrett, trying to soothe her. Obligated to guide her. And she's hurt and broken-hearted, because this wasn't part of the plan. She just knew everything would be okay because Randall would be there on the other side - but he wasn't.
With Garrett's help, she controls the crazy gift she's received; you know, the one where everyone can hear everything in her head. And she travels with him. And the whole time she is keeping an eye out for Randall, but he's no where to be found.
Two decades later and she all but gives up. She goes overseas to the Volturi to live with them for a decade, studying their ways, making acquaintances. And then after a decade she decides to go home. To live her own life, free of memories of Randall, even though she knows she'll never be able to shake him...
By the time she's back in America, she's met Rosalie and Emmett. and the whole peace and love thing was taking hold of America, and so she buys into it; trying out their lifestyle. And it suits her. And she goes on, all but forgetting about her desire to have Randall back...
And then we know the current part of her story: where she travels to Forks and settles here...
so what would happen if Randall came back? How would Charity re-act upon seeing him for the first time in over a century? I'll update this soon with a full RP'd post, because Charandall is going crazy in my brain. lol.))
