How about Lita and Benjamin dated when they were younger? Maybe junior high to high school, and were forced to call it quits when Lita moved out of town, meaning there were still emotions attached. When she becomes the legal age to move out of her parent's home, she comes back to Forks in hopes of starting her own brand new life. And on her hopeful, fresh rode she runs into Benjamin again. She still feels like there shouldn't be any more emotions than what they left behind, because she is comfortable with there relationship status. But she still feels a sort of connection with him that she chooses to ignore for her current boyfriend, Jace. So it's pretty much a ex with good terms and still chemistry that's ignored sort of deal? Beatrice has just moved from Texas to Forks to live with her dad. Her mother is in Iraq right now so there's he reason for being here. She's pretty lonely and her only friend so far is Emmi.
