Character History: Matt Blaketon was born February 17, 1977. To Logan R. Blaketon and Mary J. Blaketon in Lucindale, South Australia. Matt lived an over privileged life a of boy who's parents were well paid medical researchers. With their busy schedules his parents didn't have the time to pay much attention to young Carver, nor raise him. Which in the end likely lead to Matt's destructive lifestyle.
Early in his adolescent years Matt made his way into the drug scene. At the ripe old age of 14 Matt was arrested and charged with possession, with the intent to distribute. He was carrying over a kilo of cocaine in his backpack.
To avoid a lengthy prison sentence, since he was going to be tried as an adult. His parents agreed to pay his tuition to Attend Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia. One of the most prestigious Academies in the US.
Upon "rehabilitating" and graduating Matt did the only thing he really knew how to do, and that was become a soldier and joined the USMC. Once he was through with boot camp he and a few others were transferred to Fort Dix where they trained him, alongside of a handful of other gifted soldiers to become the newest additions to the USMC's Special Op's unit. Trained to handle the more unique situations on the battlefield.
After training was complete, Matt was sent to Afghanistan, where Special Ops troops worked on flushing Bin Ladin out of the Afghan mountain ranges. In the beginning of March of 2003 Matt was transferred to Iraq. He was one of the first troops to step foot on Iraqi soil in Baghdad. In war, Matt, along with his brother's in arms witnessed and did things they never imagined they would ever have to do... No matter how well prepared they were. After spending four years in Iraq and sustaining more injuries than he could count, Matt decided not to reenlist again.
Instead he returned to the states, eventually made his way down far north, became a Washington State Trooper, and bought himself a place to call his own in Forks. Sometimes Matt believes the military helped him to overcome some of his destructive behaviors... Then again everyone wants to believe there's a little bit of good in them, but everyone always said there always was something like a devil that lay dormant deep down inside of him. But it appears who... or what the man Matt Blaketon has become since that day in court 18 years ago is in the eye of the beholder.
Character Appearance: Matt has piercing, hypnotic, bright blue eyes that he likes to call his crystal balls. He has long-ish messy hair, and doesn't mind it being so. Matt holds a strong, firm nose and acquires high cheek bones whenever he shows his pearly whites. He has somewhat oh a strong, square-ish jaw, which he totally dislikes... but he lives through it.
He is tall, standing at around 6'1'. And weighs about 185 lbs. His body is slender, but lifting up his shirt, you will find the muscles of a skinny model... helping with that might have been from being in the military.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
S/
Intelligence, charismatic, Assertive, strong, Loyal, generous.
W/
Flashbacks, PTSD, anything with alcohol in it, gorgeous woman, big dogs, Stubborn.
Personality: He is a human man but has a big heart. Keeping to himself at times, he doesnât really like talking to people that much. Growing up in the military; Matt tends to stay clear of places that are not worth his wild. He loves dogs, big dogs, and has always thought of what it would be like if he were one. Enjoys drinking beer, and when wasted, he is one who rambles on and on about anything his mind carries his mind to. Matt enjoys living alone, and doesn't want to change that anytime soon.
Matt is a very confident, as he has to be with his line of work. Along with this confidence is a natural curiosity of the world around him. Of course, he has no idea about weres, vampires, and such but he thinks about it sometimes. His curiosity often clashes with his politeness though, often leaving him with decisions and questions that he wants to pursue even though he shouldn't. Depending on whom he is talking he will sometimes ask rude questions or try to be as polite as possible. Usually, humans think of him as rude, invasive, and forceful... but that's just because of his curiosity, nothing personal.

Matt was sitting in his dorm doing some homework for one of his classes when he heard something outside his door. Looking up at the doorway, he frowned slightly. It seemed as if nothing was there. With a shake of his head, he moved his eyes back down to the book he was studying from. It wasn't the funnest thing to do in the world, but it was the weekday, he had a lot of homework, so he couldn't really go out and party at the moment. It was the end of the year, his second term in college, but none-the-less, he couldn't afford to slack off now. Not with how expensive this school was. Studying for a bit longer, it was until eleven o'clock at night when he heard a knock on his door. "Whose visiting this late?" he wondered to himself as he got up from his chair. He glanced over to the beds and saw his roommate sleeping. Biting his lip sullenly, he moved toward the door to open it.
A man was standing there is a business suit with a closely shaved head and somewhat large build. Matt raised an eyebrow, wondering why someone so fancy would be visiting him at this hour of the night. He didn't know it was a Vampire.
"Um, hello?" Matt mumbled after a short pause. He wasn't use to visitors this late at night. The man looked up and down the hallway pretty suspiciously before looking back at Matt and opening his mouth. Fangs spurted out quickly, atleast an inch and a half long, which made Matt reflexively jump back a few feet as he stared at this creature with a mix of curiosity and fear. The vampire had a devilish grin on his face before he let the face retract and he stepped slightly closer. 'Aren't you going to let me in? Don't worry, I won't bite," he smiled again, an almost dangerous smile. Matt felt like he was an idiot for doing, probably sentencing himself and his roommate to death, but he had a feeling that a vampire showing up in a suit as fancy as this, in the middle of the night, in a crowded dorm, wasn't going to try and kill anyone. Before he did so, he grabbed his silver necklace, one he had gotten from his mother, and put it on. "Alright... Come in." and the vampire stepped over the threshold.
