Forks was literally my personal hell on earth.
Name;; Selenia Anne DeLuke Nickname(s);; Sellie, Sellz, Sell Age;;September 10th ; Seventeen Species;; Human Gender;; Female Orientation;; Straight;; unless you get her high or wasted. Face Claim;; Alexz Johnson
Mother;; Marie DeLuke;; 37;; unemployed Father;;Antoine DeLuke;;33;;deceased Siblings;; None. History;; Marie and Antione DeLuke were never suited to be together. A short fling one summer in Orlando, Florida while her mother was on vacation from her hometown in Forks, Washington, she met Antoine. A charismatic, intelligent, player with his life ahead of him. Following in his father's footsteps to own the family business of law. Meeting Marie was his biggest downfall and gave him his greatest treasure. Or so he told his young daughter, Selenia, at the young age of four when she had asked why it is she barely ever saw her mother. Growing up in Orlando with her father, she visited her mother once every summer in Forks, which would seem to be the complete polar opposite of her hometown. Selenia grew to despise her visits to Forks, her mother parading her around like some doll to the public and screaming at her behind closed doors.
She never told her father about the situations she was put in with her mother, never wanting to stress him out. Having gone to law school with the help of his parents raising her during her first few years of life until he graduated from the prestigious university. Afterwards, it was easily seen to that every moment of his free time was spent with her. Cherishing her like she was the only thing in life worth living for. At the age of five, the question arose, "Daddy, why do you spoil me so much?" And all she had gotten was a laugh, a kiss on the forehead, and a simple reply, "You'll find out when you're older, darling." That day on the beach when he had taken her to go swimming and to ride every single ride at the pier, as per her father's promise. Being so young and spoiled and never having to go through anything tragic, she had merely nodded her head and smiled, telling her dad that was silly.
The next week was her mother's visitation, being shipped off in an airplane to Washington once again. Her mother meeting her at the airport in one of her gaudy, tacky outfits as usual. Not hurting from the money she was receiving from her father, in which, Selenia was unaware of. Upon her arrival and being ushered out of the gates by a flight attendant, her mother's gaze rested solely on the diamond necklace with a single initial on it. "Did daddy give you this?" was the mean voice she had come to dislike, sneering at her with every nerve she had that expressed her dislike of the girl. "Yes." A tiny voice that wasn't even a whisper had replied as she clutched her teddy bear closer to her chest. The necklace instantly being ripped from her neck as she cried in the airport at her own mother's cruelty. "Aren't you so lucky to be spoiled." Her week spent behind closed doors in the room her mother 'allowed' her to use during her stays in the enormous house.
When she returned to her father, the necklace gone and his daughter a little more reserved, he finally was able to make Selenia confess what happened every single summer when she went to live with Marie. Immediately notifying the courts with his knowledge of law banned Marie from having contact with Selenia. The next few years left Selenia forgetting all about her mother's cruelty and allowed her to become more independent. Gaining her love of sports and of auto-mechanics, in which Antoine supported her highly. One day at school, during Science class, the principal pulled Selenia out of class and gave her the horrible news. Antoine had been killed. Shot multiple times in a drive-by on his way to the office. Assumed to be an ex-con who had held a grudge against the lawyer who had put him behind bars. Instantly breaking down and crying right there in the elementary school, hard to believe her father was dead when she had seen him just an hour or so before.
With Antoine gone, the courts ruled Marie her sole guardian. Having no other relatives who could have taken her in. Being shipped off to Forks once again for the first time in three years. Being reminded of how much she disliked it there when Marie sneered down at her with a smirk that was evident. The first week was the hardest. Being eight years old in a town where she knew no one and absolutely despised it there. It was that first week she met the Hobbes. Having snuck outside from her bedroom window during a storm, she wandered around in broad daylight, falling down in the mud and soaked head to toe in the rain. When the rain let up, she discovered the family and their children. Nathaniel, Peter, and Ana. Mud streaked across her cheeks and matted in her hair and walking up to Nathaniel, a bold smile on her face and asking him if he wanted to play with her.
Bill and Marianne Hobbes became Selenia's parents so to speak, caring more for the girl than her own birth mother did. Nathaniel being her first and best friend in Forks when she stopped despising it there. Marianne and Bill caring for her, even with her constant mischief and trouble causing behavior whenever she wandered off to pay them a visit to play football with Nate or play tag with Peter and Ana. She quickly grew to love the small town and how close everyone was despite like in the big city. Being enrolled into the elementary school with the rumors that circled around about her being Marie's daughter soon stopped a couple years into school, immediately being well-liked and now one of the most popular girls in the high-school. Even despite her nightly outings to a few local bars to have some dangerous fun or her wild behavior that only happened rarely.
Personality;;Selenia is a very warm and loving girl. When, of course, you are on her good side. She can be the best friend you've ever had. Her caring nature and outgoing, spunky personality easily make her enjoyable to be around. Her curiosity and naivety attract others like a moth to a flame. Her naivety for the fact that she's nearly a full-fledged adult and is still gullible. When you aren't on her good side, however, watch out. She holds serious grudges and can pretty much see to it that you're life is going to be a living hell. Anger and profanity fuel her senses when it comes to loathing someone she absolutely doesn't like or someone who has done her wrong. Her determination and stubborn behavior is a mind-set for any of her goals that she will achieve them some time in the span of her life. Being a magnet for trouble or tragedy seems to be a talent of hers, which can sometimes cause her to close in on herself and become a recluse. This doesn't happen often but when it does it never lasts more than a day or two.

Appearance;; Sellie is a thin girl, not from starvation, but from her constant physical activities. Standing at an average five foot seven inches, she doesn't really stand out in a crowd. Her blond curly tresses fall just above her shoulders out of sheer laziness. Her steel-blue irises are her most dominant feature in which she receives the most compliments on along with her smile. Despite her home life, she always find something to brighten her day and make a smile reside on her lips. Not to mention, she's always found sporting some kind of dirt, whether it's grease from Dowling's or grass stains from Football Practice or mud smears from going off road in her jeep.
Your alias;; Selenia SKANK. Haha. XD Time Zone;; Central :] Allotted Computer Time;; Pretty much all the time. Except for a few hours in the day and night. RPing Sample;; Here she was. Eight and a half years old and running away from home. Her tears were unnoticeable with the rain that streaked down her face. Glancing at her mud covered hands and knees, a few splatters here and there, she looked a mess. Despite knowing full well that Antoine was dead, it didn't stop her from calling out his name in the forest that surrounded her mother's estate. Actually in the sort-of neighborhood that Marie resided in. Following the street as she trudged along in her sneakers that were starting to squeak. the pink skirt her mother had dressed her up in along with the white shirt were now covered in grass stains and mud from her clumsiness. Reaching up to run her small, delicate fingers through her hair to try and untangle the mess. Sticks and leaves and mud and rain were all entwined with her blond locks.
Glancing up at the sky with her curious eyes, the rain had finally stopped. Thinking it was never going to let up. Selenia glanced around, not really sure where she was or how she would get back to hell. She supposed she could just turn around and head back until she found her way. And she would have, just so she could have gotten clean and crawled underneath her bed with a thick, warm blanket. Coughing once or twice, she swiveled her body in the direction she had heard voices. And not just any voices. The sounds of other kids. She hadn't heard that sound in a few weeks. Not since Antoine had been shot. Glancing up over the shrubbery, she easily spotted a couple boys, playing football outside their house.
Perfect! A smile appeared on Selenia's childish face, excited at meeting other kids. She had started to think this was just a grown-up town that had no kids. Pushing her way through the bushes and gaining a few scratches on her arms and cheeks, she ambled up to the eldest looking boy who currently had possesion of the pig-skinned ball. "Hi! I'm Selenia. Can I play with you?"
