Jake had just finish up 18 and was putting his golf clubs into the trunk of his Maserati Quattroporte S when his stomach started rumbling. He had been so focused on his game he didn't feel the hunger creeping up until now. He looked at his watch and realized that he hadn't eaten since breakfast which was eight hours ago. Jake came to often since his parents owned a construction company there. Their company had been booming and they had been living in the lap of luxury ever since.
He knew of the best french bistro that was out of the way and almost hidden that only a native of Seattle knew about. Jake hopped in his car and turned down the drive of the country club. He loved driving out of the country club because it had huge trees growing up on either side of the gravel lane giving the trees and umbrella sort of effect. When he reached the highway he pressed the gas and listened to the engine purr.
Jake loved his new car. Soon he was coming back into town. The oldest area of Seattle was always his favorite place to go. He remembered when he was going through puberty that his dad brought him here to have a talk with him. There's not much worse than having the birds and the bees discussion with your dad, except the 'you changing into an animal in normal now' discussion.
Jake shuddered remembering how weird that was as he turned down a skinny backstreet towards the tiny parking of the bistro.
He was surprised to see it was full so he parked by a meter and collected change for it. After feeding the meter plenty of change to assure him from getting a ticket he went into the bistro to get his favorite sandwich. The place was packed full of people. He sensed he was the only shifter in the place and scoped out a place to sit. The only empty seat in the house was a seat in a booth right across from a pretty blonde.
She seemed kind of spaced out at the moment looking out the window at all the people walking down the sidewalk. Jake decided he would approach her anyways when his stomach growled angrily. He walked over to her booth, dodging a waitress with a tray full of food that she almost dumped on him. "Excuse me miss," since she was definately not old enough to be a ma'm, "is this seat taken? There's not anywhere else to sit or else I wouldn't have bothered you." Jake told her giving her his award winning smile, or so he had been told.
