Character History:
Brittany was born as Brittany Abigail Sanderson. Her mother was a beautiful actress and her father a successful businessman. Brittany was the youngest of four children and is the more responsible adult. Brittany's siblings were Donald, Rebbecca, and Emily Sanderson. This young girl had grown up as a slightly rich child and had everything she wanted yet there was one thing that had been bothering her, she was missing something important. Brittany had a good life until she was almost twenty years old. One night Brittany was walking home following the same route she had in the years past when out of nowhere came a strange man. Brittany had tried to avoid the man, but he wouldn't leave her alone. Finally Brittany started running with the man following close behind. Before Brittany could make it to the corner however, the man grab her and forced her to the ground. The young woman screamed out for help once before a blow to the head caused her to be silent.
For several days Brittany had been swimming in and out of consciousness. Finally she woke up in a strange forest alone and bewildered, unsure of how she got there. As Brittany tried to move she felt a searing pain course through her body. She looked down and saw cuts and bruises. Looking around Brittany saw that she must have gotten the wounds from running through the trees. Brittany then heard a gentle bubbling in the distance and she walked towards it. The young woman cleaned herself off and leaned forward to sooth her parched throat before recoiling in surprise. Her eyes had been a startling red. Her eyes weren't red. They had been blue the last time she had looked. Brittany looked again and cried as she looked at her changed features. Something was not right and Brittany wanted to find out.
As the night wore on, Brittany's stomach growled, but whenever she thought of her favorite meal from back home, her stomach jerked and Brittany almost lost her last meal. Brittany wondered why this had happened. Then the scent of blood filled the air. At the scent of blood Brittany realized that she was no longer human, but a creature of the night, a creature she had always feared... a vampire. Brittany got closer to the smell and saw a young girl collapsed on the ground in pain. Brittany looked around and saw a cliff not to high above her. At first Brittany had wanted to drink the girl's blood, but thought better of it. Brittany helped the injured girl to the edge of the forest and then retreated back into the darkness.
As the years wore on, Brittany learned to control her hunger and she also learned that if she drank animal blood then her eyes would be a more soothing color. Now Brittany is a nomad, roaming to try and find another golden-eyed vampire to learn more about what vampires were about. Brittany did everything in her power to avoid the man that had changed her in the first place. The vampire who had created a scared young "infant."
Character Appearance:
Brittany has long curly dark brown hair and golden eyes. Her skin is pale like all vampires. Her lips are the only part of her body that has any color to them. Their slightly reddish tint around the edges. Before Brittany became a vampire she had almost black hair and bright blue eyes. Her skin had a slight tan to it and she had had a slender frame. Brittany's legs are long and are good for running. This young woman usually wears a flowing skirt with slits in the sides, a white blouse, and flat tennis shoes. Her hair is often pulled back in a ponytail as if to keep her humanity. A small semi-circle can be seen just above her left elbow from where she had been bitten and turned.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
++Reading
++Acting
++Control of feedings
--Lack of memory
--Loneliness
--Hatred for the man/vampire who did this to her
Personality:
Brittany is usually sweet-tempered and caring. She had always loved life when she was a human and the thought of killing anything, human or animal, disgusts her. Brittany knows that she has no choice if she wants to survive. She is often lonely and dreams of being around another of her kind, preferably a golden eyed vampire, one who cares for life as much as she does. Whenever Brittany can make it to a town with a bookstore, she will go in to read a few chapters of a book before the closing time and then leave. She has no wish to steal not even if its necessary. This young woman can sense that people are wondering who she is, but she never stayed long enough anywhere to become a familiar face.
If Brittany feels threatened then she pulls on her scary face and snarls at any intruder be they human or animal. When need be, Brittany acts her way through things and manages to get a place to "sleep" and some "food" into her belly. When she is around humans she always keeps up the pretense that she is human. At night when she is more active, Brittany thinks back to her last few moments as a human. The memory is always there, haunting her and terrifying her. Brittany just wants companionship and possibly a vampire family to join.
How is your character related to the story? A lone vampire wandering around and coming across a permanent family and staying for little before moving on. She has no wish to intrude on a family that might not want her.
Sample of your RP-ing skills:
An owl hooted as it beat its powerful wings softly, but a lone figure in the shadows heard the soft whoosh of the wings. So much for learning to be quiet if another creature of the night heard its wing-beats. The moon shone brightly in the night sky, shining down on the forest below. The figure quietly steps forward and then pounces on its prey. The owl screeches once and then falls silent. The figure sighs, but digs into her meal. Once finished she buried the owl to get rid of any evidence for she knows there are humans nearby. Her dark hair shining like fire in the moonlight. A rustle is heard behind the figure. Out steps a fox looking for food of its own. The figure grins and then pounces on the fox, but turns away. She can smell the milk and knows this fox is only trying to keep her young alive.
The woman turned away into the forest and continues on in the direction she had been going. Being a vampire was depressing and lonely. If only the woman had a companion or someone to talk to. At the thought of loneliness the woman sat down underneath a tree and began crying. This wasn't the first time this had happened. Whenever the realization of loneliness crashed over the woman she would cry out the tears that had built up. Finally towards dawn, the crying ceased. The woman stood and stretched. It was time for her to find a place to buckle down for the night. She still had no idea as to what the sun would do to her if she stayed out in it, but it she were a true vampire of legends then she would probably burn and die a painful death.
Finally the woman came across a tree that had a hole at the bottom. The hole was big enough for her and so she crawled in and covered the entrance with leaves to keep the sun out. It was another day of hiding and waiting for the night. This woman had always been a night person, but she had never imagined this. At least when she was human she had the joy of being out in the sun and coming out and basking in the moonlight. Now the sun was dangerous to her. The woman sighed. She brushed back her hair and blinked her eyes. It had been awhile since she last looked at herself. She was probably a mess and most likely her eyes were reverting back to their normal red color again. The woman was already feeling the effects of an overpowering thirst for blood.
