Name: Tina
Character Applying For: Sam Uley
Other Characters?(Who else do you play already?) Rosalie Hale
How often will you be able to RP/post? I come on almost every day, but when school starts, at least three times a week
If you can't have this character, who would you like to apply for? I would apply for Benjamin of the Egyptian Coven
Any special reason why you're applying for this one? Oh, I just think it would be fun to play someone besides Rosalie
Sample of Posting (At least 2 paragraphs): I decided to do part of Breaking Dawn from Sam's point of view. It is about pages 157-162, plus a bit that I just wanted to add.
Sam had gotten the message earlier that morning. A message that would bring both happiness and anger to members of his pack. Seth Clearwater had called Sam at around ten o'clock to tell him that the Cullens, he flinched at the name, had told Charlie that Bella was sick with a South American disease and was being “quarantined” and had a strict “no visitors” policy. No doubt about it that this would make Jacob go on another wild rampage, because this meant that Edward had defiantly changed her into a vampire during their honeymoon and that she was now a vampire.
As the Alpha, he had to weigh the various options. They could go attack the vampires for breaking the strict treaty by biting a human and changing Bella into a vampire, but they could lose a brother forever. Fighting vampires was very serious buisness and could not be taken lightly. On the other hand, the vampires were now starting to become friendlier to them, ever since they fought side by side in that battle against the newborns, and Sam was not even sure that Bella had been changed. Despite the evidence that she had been, maybe she actually did get some disease or something. Seth had said that Charlie had talked to Bella on the phone and said that she did sound quite ill, yet no one could be sure, but no one wanted to lose one of their pack members. They were like one big family to each other. Could Bella really be put into the category of “victim”? Sam had seen in Jacob's mind that Bella always pleaded to become a vampire, but Edward had always said no. She had known what to expect before hand and had asked for it by herself. Finally, Sam decided that unless someone besides Jacob could come up with any really really good reasons to attack them, they would just stay away from the Cullens and leave them alone.
Sam had to call a pack meeting. He kissed Emily on the cheek, said goodbye, and left their house to go to the forest. He passed through the thick brush, and as soon as he decided that no one could see him, he stripped out of his shirt and shorts and tied them to his ankle with a piece of string he always had around his neck. As he tightened the ends, he phased, a fiery lightning bolt going down his spine and changing every part of him as it went. Now, as his wolf self, he sprinted through the forest, coming to a clearing where they usually met. He heard Embry already in his head. Apparently he was in his wolf form too, maybe hunting.
Come on Embry, group meeting here. Sam thought to Embry, If you see anyone, make them come here as soon as possible.
Letting out a howl loud enough for his pack to hear from a mile away, but not loud enough for humans to hear easily, he started to hear voices in his head pop out of nowhere.
What's up, boss?
How's it going, Sam?
The greetings and concerns came to him, and with each one, he thought, Let's wait till everyone gets here.
Of course, Leah and Jacob, the last two to join the group, were already bickering. Can it, guys. Seth warned. He felt their heavy resentment towards each other in his mind. He counted the group. Eight. They were missing two wolves.
Where's Quil and Jared? Sam wondered, going through everyone's minds to see if they knew.
Quil's got Claire. He's taking her to the Clearwaters'.
Good, Sam thought, Sue will take her. Emily is busy.
Jared was going to Kim's. Good chance he didn't hear you.
Everyone grumbled about that one. Sam wished that he did not have to know all of the stuff that Jared and Kim did together. Well, we're not waiting all day for him He'll just have to catch up later. Sam thought, letting a low howl through the air, telling everyone that the meeting was starting. We need to talk. Something's happened. His thought to Jacob, assessing his mood as he sped through the trees, trying to get there as fast as possible. Unfortunately, he could see Leah was doing the same, trying to outrun him. He ignored this.
Seth, tell them what you heard. Sam commanded, looking at the tan wolf sitting across the circle from him, staring at him wide-eyed. Jake and Leah were arguing again, it seemed, purely for the sport. This had to stop, so he thought, Jake, Leah, give it a rest. Of course, they didn't listen, so Sam let out a rumbling growl, but let it rest. He had more important things at hand.
Seth? Go on. Sam thought, a little annoyed at Jacob and Leah. He thought that they would behave themselves, especially because of what was about to come. Seth let out the whole story about hearing from Charlie about Bella. Sam was not really paying attention to him. He had already heard this story from Seth and his attention was focused entirely on Jacob. Jacob sprinted closer to the circle of wolves, raging about what he had heard, wondering when they would tell Charlie that Bella was dead. As Jake entered the circle, everyone could tell how agitated he was. His fur was bristling, his hackles were straight up, and his eyes had a look of fury that was not human-like at all on them. Jake looked at Sam What are we waiting for? Which was followed by silence and hesitation. Sam did not know how to break the news to Jacob. Oh come on! The treaty is broken!
Sam knew this was coming, so he had prepared an answer, We have no proof—Maybe she is sick....
OH, PLEASE! Jacob was taking this worse than he though.
Okay, so the circumstantial evidence is pretty strong, Still... Jacob. Are you sure this is what you want? Is it really the right thing? We all know it's what she wanted. Sam was pulling out his reasons for not attacking. He noted the pack silently agreeing with him, nodding their big heads.
The treaty doesn't mention anything about victim preferences, Sam! Jacob thought, obviously fuming now, his body starting to tremble.
Is she really a victim? Would you label her that way? Sam was taking out the “big guns” trying to make Jake feel guilty.
Yes! Jacob thought as Sam felt his fury rising to the top.
Jake, they aren't our enemies. Seth said. Sam was not on either Seth or Jacob's side. He certainly did not want to think of the bloodsuckers as their friends, like Seth did, but he did not want to rip their heads off every time he saw them, like Jacob did. Now Jacob was yelling at Seth, trying to get him to see his point.
So what are you gong to do when Bella fights with them, Jacob? Huh? Wow. Sam had not thought of this one. Jacob would have to fight his true love if he wanted to fight the vampires. Sam was impressed.
She's not going to be Bella anymore.
You gonna be the one to take her down? Seth demanded, laying on the guilt thickly, and as Jacob winced, Seth continued, No, you're not. So, what? You gonna make one of us do it? And then hold a grudge against whoever it is forever?
I wouldn't. Jacob was confused now, not sure whether to be raving mad, or depressingly unhappy.
Sure you wouldn't. You're not ready for this fight, Jacob. Sam could see that stung him like a bee. Jacob crouched like a wolf, ready to tear Seth to shreds. As the Alpha, he had to draw the line.
Jacob! Seth, shut up for a second. Sam had to stop the wild ideas of attacks inside Jacob's head.
They all turned as they heard Quil running towards them at top speed, asking what he had missed, obviously a little annoyed that he did not know what was going on.
We're getting ready to go. Why don't you swing by Kim's and drag Jared out by your teeth? We're going to need everyone. Jacob told Quil, making Sam let out a low warning growl that silenced him.
Come strait here, Quil. We've decided nothing yet. Sam ordered, this time making Jacob growl. Quil skidded to a stop in the circle.
And then, I got bored and started writing. I hope this is enough...
