Ethan stood in the kitchen table, sorting through mail and looking at bills. Since he had gotten with Sarah and since she had become pregnant, he had taken on more hours at his job as well as more responsibility around the house. Shopping for groceries, yard work, house work, cleaning, and bills were only a portion of it and yet he couldn't complain about it. In fact, he liked feeling important and needed, doing something useful each day that was also testing his mental and physical strength which so far, he hadn't faced anything that he could handle. Thankful for that, Ethan had still felt as though the job he currently held wasn't the one he wanted and although he had plans to change his field of work, his new idea probably wouldn't run by Sarah very well.
He turned his head at the sound of howls outside. He smiled, hearing the guys in his head as they shifted back in the woods across from him place. It was his day off from the pack, a much needed break after the week he had gone through. It seemed as though Sarah's pregnancy was getting further along and with that, the morning sickness, aches, and fatigue only grew. He wasn't sure it was just because of their child being only three quarters human, but the fact that Sarah was young and everything combined was making it harder on her. He set the envelopes down on the table, figuring he could take care of them later. Walking to the front door, he slipped on his shoes and quietly headed out into the grey, morning air to greet the guys.
Only Sam approached, giving him a small smile and telling him about their watch and Ethan conversed for only a small while. "Are you planning to come out to the beach today?" asked Sam, hoping his friend would attend their regular hangout session but Ethan shook his head. "Can't man. Sarah is going to wake up soon and I am thinking we should head up and talk to her parents. It's time they knew before they find out some other way. They may hate me but they can't possibly hate her..." he said softly. Same made a face and shook his head. "Are you sure you know what your taking on man? I mean..you have your hands full. Not to mention, you have your duty to the pack and all.." he mentioned but Ethan shook his head.
"Trust me, things will be okay. Besides, I love her and knew what I was doing from the start. Just...keep me posted throughout the day. I'll leave my head open for you but when I get to forks, I will loose you. We will reconnect when we get back..." he said. Sam smirked. "That is if you go at all.." Ethan smirked, pushing the guy and Sam laughed, waving to him before heading off for the others in the distance. Ethan smiled, watching him for a moment before walking inside. He headed for the bedroom, knowing Sarah was sleeping. He entered quietly, smiling at her sleeping form before stopping beside the bed. He sat at the edge, placing his hand on her wrist as he whispered. "Hey baby...wake up.." he said, watching her stir.

Dreams. Sometimes they could be the best way to escape the real world, and all the heaviness that came with it. Sarah could remember a time that would seem like light years away now, when all she could ever look forward to was dreaming. In her dreams was a face engraved into her memory, his name printed upon her heart; her skin memorizing his touch. Ethan. There wasn't a day Sarah didn't think about him, even before they'd come to the point where they could live together. He was literally her everything; every dream, every hope. But today was different. Actually... since the day she'd first heard her baby's heartbeat things had changed forever. Those small fluttering sounds beating in harmony had tore down everything she knew, and rebuilt everything new, and beautiful.
To think there were two little heartbeats! That in itself had shaken her to her core, in the most wonderful and terrifying way.
Her dreams had actually evolved along with herself, which Sarah had noted as she wrote them down in her journal every day. From dreams of her dancing on the stage as a ballerina in front of her dad, to dreams of wolves and red eyed strangers, to Ethan smiling warmly at her while the sun was setting, whispering ' I love you '. And now; Sarah felt as if she were experiencing De Ja Vu. She was dreaming of the stage again, a little girl with porcelain skin twirling gracefully. "Am I doing okay, daddy?" She'd ask, her little voice echoing sweetly. "You're doing fine, baby." Ethan's familiar voice reassured, and as she turned; wide brown eyes gleaming proudly, her blonde hair shone like strands of gold under the stage light. A grin lit her face, and Sarah would find her breathe taken from her, as tears filled her eyes; just before the scene changed to a football field. She was further away, but that same grin shone just for her and Ethan, beneath a dirt stained face, and wild blonde hair. A little hand waved excited. "I did it, mom and Dad! I caught the ball!"
"You did it, baby." Sarah murmured softly. "Always knew you could.." A soft smile rested on her lips, even as the image began to fade away, Ethan's voice echoing gently. Slowly opening her eyes, Sarah turned to look up at Ethan, his form blurry but comforting. Before he could do much else, Sarah leaned up as best as she could and wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his neck. She felt like she was choking with emotion, for too overwhelmed to feel embarrassed that she was crying. "Oh, Ethan..." She whispered.

Ethan was a little taken a back when she grabbed him, sitting up quickly and wrapping her arms around him. He knew that she had probably been dreaming and he smiled, holding her. "Hey, you okay?" he asked softly as he held her tightly. A small laugh escaped his lips. It was not at all directed at her but more so that he had no idea what she was sobbing about. He patted her back softly, sitting back after a moment, running his hand over her face slowly, pushing the hair from her face. "What is it?" he asked softly. He knew it was probably just the pregnancy getting to her. he knew that she had been very emotional for the past few weeks and it wasn't her fault at all. It was just how women were in this state.
Ethan had to admit though, his mind had been preoccupied with thoughts of her having a baby as well. It was incredible to think that a little him or her would be running around or maybe even be a werewolf, just like himself but a part of him wondered if that was even going to happen. He had no idea if this gene would pass but he had to hope it would. He smiled at the thought again as he stood, walking to the window and opening the curtains to let some light in. "Time to get up babe. You have a choice today. Either go see your parents and tell them about everything orrrr, we can go see if we can't find out the genders today. Or both.." he hinted, hoping she would be up to talking to her parents again. Besides, they would find out eventually and it was safer this way.

If Sarah were in her right state of mind... otherwise not pregnant, she probably would've felt a bit silly crying over a dream. As it was, being a mother of five months, and very emotional she had no qualms about telling Ethan why she was crying. "I dreamed about them," She sniffled, completely fine until... "Are you laughing at me?" She stiffened, pulling away as he did, brows drawn in a frown. Feeling a surge of irritation, as he eyes narrowed. "Ethan Andrew Shepard, don't you dare laugh at me!"
The nerve of him! Sarah would gladly switch places with Ethan and let him walk in her very pregnant shoes for a moment, and see if he still felt the need to laugh at her. Then he had the nerve to run his hand over her face, as if he hadn't did the meanest thing only seconds ago! After all this time Ethan surely had to know, one small mess up would mean war for the rest of the morning. Sarah was officially annoyed, her irritation gaining as he acted all innocent.
The treason only continued as Ethan stood to open the curtains, listing her choices. Feeling her face heat up, a tell tale sign that she was livid, Sarah pushed herself from the bed...twice as she fell down the first time. Grabbing the edge of a pillow, waddling over to Ethan, whacking him with all she had. "You insensitive, bossy, jerk!" her shrill voice echoed around the room, before Sarah fled for the bathroom as fast as she could in her current state; slamming the door and locking it. She wasn't going anywhere with him as far as she was concerned.
