Character History: On October 19th 1846 a beautiful baby girl was born to Jason and Samantha Kent, her name was Delayni Marie Kent. As a child Delayni was one of the boys, which back then was frowned upon. After her chores were done she would run off to play with the neighbor boy and his brother (Tyler and Kyle). The three of them were inseparable , always getting into trouble. Throughout her childhood Delayni was a normal child, doing chores, working on the farm and more often than not getting into trouble with Tyler. As her childhood blended into her teen years her life was much the same, only now s her father was looking for a possible husband for her and young Mr Tyler was at the top of the list. They were set to marry after the war was over, little did anyone know that Tyler and Delayni wouldn’t technically make it through the war. It was the day after her 21st birthday, Delayni was travelling to Austin to visit Tyler, the army was stationed there at the time. She had decided to ride through the night in hopes of arriving in the afternoon. But as she neared the city she was ambushed by two vampires, sent by a man named Jackson. He played a small part in the Southern Vampire Wars. Delayni would become his newest addition. She was one of the lucky ones that was able to live past her first year of her new vampire life. Jackson thought she was to beautiful to kill and it didn’t hurt that she was actually a good fighter. So for years she lived all around Texas, fighting, killing and creating newborns. It wasn’t until they got word that the Volturi were closing in and that’s when Delayni took her chance to run. After she left Texas she tried to track down Tyler, only to find out that he had been part of Maria’s army and had only lived a year after her. She mourned for weeks after hearing the news. But after that she knew she had to disappear and keep a low profile. So she moved to a secluded part of Montana, and started her own cattle ranch as a source of income. The years flew by and soon it was time for her to leave Montana. So she left the ranch in the care of her business partner and his family and headed overseas to England. She travelled back and forth from the two cities for years. But now she is making her way into Forks. She heard a rumor about the Major living there with his family and is wanting to meet the man so many feared, that and she is wanting to know what Tyler’s last moments were like, though she knows that it is something that she shouldn’t really want.
Character Appearance: Delayni Kent is a beautiful girl, a characteristic of just about every vampire that one would run into. But even as a human Delayni was a beautiful girl. She is five feet five inches and weights 150 pounds. She has long blonde hair, that she has just recently put a pink streak into as a way to change into a new her. Her eyes turn a multiple shade of colors from black to bright blood red. Her skin is a permanent ivory color. But the one thing that makes Layni stand out from the other people and vampires around her is her unique sense of style. Her style ranges from punk rock to scene. She loves to play dress up when she is bored and wants to have a bit of fun.

Personality: Delayni is an open book, especially when you first meet her. She wears her emotions on her face for the world to see. But she is a good loyal friend that few have had the joy to come to know her and call her a friend. Though none of the people she calls a friend know about her past because she is afraid that they will look at her different and end up being afraid of her. The only time that Delayni ever reverts back to her training from the Wars is when someone she cares for is in trouble and she needs to kick some vampire butt. But other than being a kind caring loving friend Delayni is a smart girl and does only school so that she can keep up with the updating curriculums and knowledge. It’s a bit of a habit for her, she loves to learn. She is always looking for something new to learn about, downside to being a vampire.
How is your character related to the story? Delayni was part of the Southern Vampire Wars and is a good fighter, one that could be of use to the Cullens whenever they might need one.
Sample of your RP-ing skills: It was a unusually sunny day in Forks, Washington and many of the humans and wolves were taking the day to hang out at the beach and enjoy the warm rays of the sun. But for one lone vampire, her undead heart wrenched for the one man that used to hold her heart when she was alive. Many would be surprised that she could still remember him after all her years as a vampire but she has held onto his memory since the day she was turned. It was the only thing that made the burning of vampires venom bearable. It is the only thing that makes her still feel beautiful even though she is covered in scars. Unshedable venom tears coated her blood red eyes as the image of her true love floated into her mind. A small smile graced her lips as a memory of a date they went on flashed before her eyes as if it were a vision of the past.
With a sigh that beautiful vampire stood from her place in a tree. She had a mission when she decided to come to Forks and she needed to get on with it. It would be hard considering her scars, but if this family could accept the Major for who he was then maybe they wouldn’t attack her on site, she could only hope right? With one last look at the area around her Delayni raced off into the forest. Her long blonde hair flying behind her, her blood red eyes glittered with happiness at the freedom she was feeling. A smile on her lips, veering to the left as she caught the scent of another vampire Delayni slowed her pace not knowing the scent, praying it was the vampire she was looking for
