this is about character taking someone to prom, who they are sort of using because they feel lonely without their love interest.

character graduates school still not doing well with education, and was probably an outcast and thinks it was all a waste.

character put's past behind them for one last time and tries to accept the way things are.
Death Scene:

character knows death is likely, but thinks that it will be okay if character sees friends for a last time and that characters life will end happily.

Love interest realizes they were wrong to character the whole time and regrets how they spent their short time with character.
