Lol, this one needs the most explanation. For those unfamiliar with the song, it's (mostly) a guy singing about what drove him to become a lawyer. Now, I'm not going to law school. But, I've grown up on the streets of Richmond and I can honestly say that I am the first person on our street, and quite possibly our entire block, to attend a four-year college.
My family of 6 is living solely off my father's income. There was no way we were going to be able to afford to send me to college. But, against all odds, I received a scholarship that covers all of my tuition. I'm going to get that BA and I'm going to do better for myself and I'm going to repay my parents for all they have done for me. To quote the song: "With the chance I've been given, I'm gonna be driven as hell. I'm so close I can taste. So, I'm not gonna waste it."
